John Timothy “Tim” Hood, 74, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025.
Tim was born Sept. 25, 1950, in Warsaw, to John Hersey Hood and Helen Baker Hood.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he earned the American Spirit Award, serving from 1970 until 1974.
On Nov. 29, 1975, he married Catherine Ansell Hood.
Tim’s life will be celebrated with a service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Rod Valentine. Friends and family may visit an hour prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A private graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military rites conducted by members of American Legion Post #49 and V.F.W #1126, both of Warsaw.
Any donations or contributions in his memory will be used for a playground project in Arusha Tanzania, where his son Jared ministers to pastors and their families.
