John Thomas Hall

John Thomas Hall, 35, died Sept. 18, 2012, in Cedar Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles, Calif., from complications of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

He was born Oct. 6, 1976, in Louisville, Ky.  

He attended elementary school at Sacred Heart, Warsaw; graduated high school from Culver Academy; and after recovering from a nearly fatal water skiing accident, was a four-year varsity letter track athlete at the University of Louisville.

After college, he created the Team Walk On Foundation (www.teamwalkon.org) to assist patients suffering from paralyzing spinal cord injuries and to raise money for spinal cord research.

Surviving are his mother, Donnette (and spouse Ron) Smock, Syracuse; his father, Mike Hall, Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister Laurelie.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Fathers Phil Devolter and  Dermot Gahan officiating.

A gathering at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, Leesburg, will follow the service.
