John Randolph Oyler, 68, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1951, in?Kokomo, to James R. and Mary Joan Brown Oyler.
He grew up in?Kokomo, graduated in 1969 from?Kokomo High School and attended Indiana University in?Kokomo. He formerly worked as executive chef at Tippecanoe Country Club in Leesburg and formerly worked at Gropps in Syracuse, Barbee Hotel in Barbee Lake, Eddie Merlot’s in Fort Wayne and Boarshead Meats in Jacksonville, Fla.
He lived most of his life in the North Webster area and had lived in Jacksonsville since 2012 before returning to Warsaw two months ago.
He is survived by his sister, Beth Oyler, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and longtime friend, Darla Brown, of North Webster. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. A memorial service will be held at Tippecanoe Lake at a later date.
