John R. DeYoung, 87, of Warsaw, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1933, in Chicago to Garrett and Jennie DeYoung.
He grew up near Chicago, graduated from Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Ill., and was a United States Korean veteran. He was married on Jan. 6, 1970, in Chicago to Teresa G. Stack, who preceded him on Sept. 7, 2015. He moved to Warsaw in the early 1970’s and was the former owner/operator of Lakes Estates Mobile Home Park near Warsaw for 25+ years.
He member of the Masonic Lodge and Mizpah Shriners, both in Chicago.
He is survived by daughter, Jennifer (Drew) Shingler, of Warsaw; two grandchildren: John and Jaclyn Shingler, of Warsaw; sister: Jeanie DeYoung, of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rhonda DeYoung; two sisters; and a brother.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. No services are planned.
