John M. Handis, 86, Glendale, Ariz., and formerly of Warsaw, died at 6:05 a.m. Feb. 16, 2014, in HOV Thunderbird, Glendale, Ariz. He was born July 17, 1927, in Johnstown, Pa., to Mike and Catherine Karitas Handis. On July 5, 1980, in Warsaw, he married Joan E. Knepper, who died May 27, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. Graveside services will be private with Pastor Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
