John H. Hidy, 76, Leesburg, passed away April 22, 2015, at his residence. He was born Nov. 14, 1938, in Newark, Ohio, to Hayes and Harriet Thomas Hidy. On April 10, 1976, he married Shirley Logsdon, who survives. He moved from Georgia to the Leesburg area full time in 2006. He retired as director of trade from 3M in 2006. He was the president of the Barbee Lakes Property Owners Association and a member of Ducks Unlimited. Also surviving are four sons: John T. (and spouse Sarah Ann) Hidy, Huntertown; Christopher Hidy, Pooler, Ga.; Jeffrey Hidy, Muncie; and Jason Hidy, Carmel; two daughters, Melissa Hidy and Annette Hidy, both of Findlay, Ohio; five grandchildren: Alexander, Jeffrey, Karrissa and Kason Hidy and Anthony Blossom; and one sister, Betty (and spouse Ron) Sombronsky, Syracuse.
