SYRACUSE – Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Syracuse Public Library, 115 E. Main St., historian Jack Elam will present the true history of John Dillinger’s exploits in Warsaw. In April 1934, John Dillinger – arguably the most infamous robber of his day – raided the police station armory in Warsaw and made off with guns and bullet-proof vests. This event helped set off an intense and prolonged manhunt for Dillinger and his gang across several states that ultimately led to Dillinger’s death in Chicago a few months later. Hear the full story of Dillinger that night in Warsaw and in other locations in Indiana. This is a free presentation. Call 574-457-3022 for more information.
