John “Derek” Wagner, 30, Etna Green, passed away at 5 p.m. March 23, 2016, at his residence. He is now with his Heavenly Father and no longer in any more pain. He was born Sept. 16, 1985, in Warsaw, to John and Glenda Burchett Wagner. On March 28, 2008, he married Ashley M. Martin Wagner, who survives in Rensselaer, with his two daughters, Micaela and Aubrie Wagner. He attended Christ’s Covenant Church, Winona Lake. Even with his lifelong illnesses, he was a kind-hearted and giving young man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, son. He also will be lovingly remembered by his father, Etna Green, and father’s fiancée, Charlesette Williams, Elkhart; grandmother, Constance Wagner, Bourbon; grandmother, Mary Burchett, Warsaw; all of his wife's family; his girlfriend and loyal companion, Trish, Rensselaer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother on Jan. 6, 2006. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
