John Crawford, 82, Pierceton, passed away at noon, June 19, 2015, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. He was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to Robert and Ethel Shoemaker Crawford. He married Oma Hall, who preceded him in death Dec. 15, 2011. He later married Sharon Smith, who also preceded him in death. He was a janitor for Wabash Valley. He was a real people person and loved joking around. He also loved to walk and dance. Surviving are a son, Robert “Dean” (and spouse Cindy) Crawford, Pierceton; a daughter, Cathy (and spouse Mike) Shilling, Pierceton; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy C. Amburgey, on Oct. 7, 1999, and a son, Ricky Crawford, April 30, 2010. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, with the Rev. Henry “Junior” Arnett, of Water of Life Church, Silver Lake, officiating. Burial is at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery.
