NORTH WEBSTER – John Charles Evans, 65, Pierceton, passed away at 11:55 a.m. March 24, 2016, at his home. He was born Dec. 11, 1950, in Muncie, to John and Millicent V. McColley Evans. On July 20, 1969, in North Webster, he married Patricia Ann “Pat” Bisig, who survives in Pierceton. He was a lifetime area resident, grew up with parents Millie and Clyde Campbell, and graduated in 1969 from Wawasee High School. He retired in 2006 from Northern Indiana Public Service Company, where he worked in the gas departments, after 33 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 253, North Webster, and the Bass Club. He was an avid fisherman and was the Kosciusko County Baseball Batting Champion in high school. Also surviving are a son, Shane (and spouse Patricia) Evans, North Webster; a daughter, Stacie (and spouse Nick) Koedyker, Leesburg; a grandson, Blake Wagner; a father, Clyde Campbell, Leesburg; and a brother, Edd (and spouse Bridgett) Campbell, Warsaw. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Doug “Spanky” Evans. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with Father Larry Biller of the All Saints Episcopal Church, Syracuse, officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.
