John Arthur Kinsey

John Arthur Kinsey, 82, of 2954 S. Southwood Drive, Warsaw, died April 3, 2012, in his residence.

He was born March 27, 1930, in Claypool, to Arthur and Clarice Jones Kinsey. On Aug. 17, 1952, he married Donna Lou Randels, who survives.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He was a 1948 Claypool High School graduate and served in the U.S. Army from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953. He was a barber for more than 60 years, beginning in 1948, and working until December 2011 when ill health prevented him from doing so. He served on the Kosciusko County Council from 1990 to present, as well as being a member of Elks Lodge 802 and American Legion Post 49, both in Warsaw.

Also surviving are a son, Steve (and spouse Barbara) Kinsey, Franklin; two daughters, Cathy (and spouse Joseph) Cooper, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Linda (and spouse Alex) Prokai, Carmel; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol (and spouse Leroy) Rapp, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Pastor Erik Ohman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
