I am a union worker, and in the morning I'll get up and go to my job, but there are thousands of people that do not have a job. That has got to be the worst thing that could ever happen to an individual that no longer has a job. My heart goes out to those people that have lost their jobs. I hear Indiana's always been known as a working state, but it's getting to be an unemployment state.
It seems like everyday in the paper, and on news, that another factory is closing its doors. What's happening, Indiana? I still have a job, and I count myself to be very fortunate. I pray the change comes soon. While I don't think we can take much more working families struggling out here, I pray that someone is listening.
As a steel worker and a female of 52 years of age, I will be voting for Barack Obama. I pray that all steelworkers will join me in putting him in the White House.
