Editor, Times-Union: I said I was done with writing letters but I had to on this one.
The ink has hardly dried on the right to work for less bill and Daniels is already proclaiming it’s bringing jobs to the state. OK, from what I see, there are three new companies coming to the state. OK, Mitch, are they union jobs that pay well with good benefits or are they low-paying jobs with no benefits?
The latest I read says there were 43,100 new jobs created, which dropped the unemployment rate down to 8.5 percent but some counties’ rates went up but with the rate dropping below 9 percent it means that all the people here in the state receiving extended unemployment benefits will now lose it, which means more people will be on welfare and food stamps and we will have to support them.
You and one-term Kubacki and your Indy pal made it sound like Indiana was sliding off the map when you was pushing the right to work for less bill, when in fact you have just said Indiana job growth is particularly strong and you want people to believe that it’s because of the right to work law that the ink is barely dry on? Come on, Mitch, you, the one-termer and the Indy pal all lied through your teeth to get the thing passed.
Here in Warsaw, Little Crow Foods is leaving town and Zimmer is pretty much all temps. Not to mention their distribution department is moving out. So you’re telling me that good-paying jobs are going to come here and replace these two companies that have probably been here for well over a hundred years combined. I think not.
The one-termer thinks as long as you’re working for minimum wage you’re doing fine. Let me ask the one-termer, would she want to try it and feed her kids with food stamps? Don’t think so. Still think this country is headed toward socialism and we have a muslim for president who says he’s got the Israelis’ back. Lord help us all.
Have a good day. Remember to say a prayer for this state and country.
