NORTH WEBSTER - Joan M. Bradtmueller, 80, of Leesburg, died at 10:45 p.m. March 11, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
She was born June 2, 1930, in Fort Wayne, to Lester and Marie Waterman. On Sept. 18, 1971, in New Haven, she married Elwin P. "Al" Bradtmueller, who survives.
She attended Central High, Fort Wayne, and formerly worked at General Electric for nine years and General Plating for several years, both in Fort Wayne. She moved to the Leesburg/North Webster area in 1988 from the New Haven/Fort Wayne area. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 253, North Webster.
Also surviving are six daughters: Sandi (and spouse Steve) Marcum, Connie (and spouse George) Csadenyi and Cheri Mills, all of Fort Wayne; Linda (and spouse Brig) Burgess, Atlanta, Ga.; Tammy (and spouse Darv) Girardot, New Haven; and Karen (and spouse John) Martin, Angola; two sons, Kevin (and spouse Missy) Bradtmueller and Kim (and spouse Brenda) Bradtmueller, all of Fort Wayne; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a half brother, Carl Schuster, Winona Lake; and a stepbrother, Jim Kortenber, Angola. She was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Private services will be at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster.
