INDIANAPOLIS – Joan L. McLallin Spencer, 81, of Indianapolis, and formerly of this area, died May 6, 2013. She was born March 20, 1932, in Ligonier. She married Dr. Sidney Spencer, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of Chapel Rock Christian Church. Surviving are a son, Douglas (and spouse Karla) Spencer; two daughters, Susan Rogers and Sally (and spouse Steven) Hacker; a sister, Bonita Geiger, North Webster; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell.
