Joan Kizer, 88, Warsaw, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born July 29, 1930, to Harry H. and Mae Parker Dibble in South Bend.
She had been a resident of Granger for 34 years, then moved to Warsaw in 2009. She married Jack D. Kizer on Nov. 25, 1950, in South Bend.
She was a retired real estate broker, an avid bridge player and a voracious reader.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Jill (spouse Steve) Beehler, and her son, James D. (spouse Candace) Kizer, both of Warsaw; grandchildren: Katie (spouse Maximilian) Maile, Warsaw; Kiel (spouse Jessica) Beehler, Greensboro, N.C.; Alan Kizer, Pierceton; and Sabrina Kizer, Warsaw; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Ryan and Beckett Matthew Maile; and a sister, Mae Floretta Bruner, New Jersey.
She was preceded by her parents; husband, Jack, on Jan. 13, 2016; and a sister, Carolyn Metzger.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Her funeral service will follow immediately at 2 p.m., with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.
Private interment will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger.
