NAPPANEE - Jimmy W. Linville, 60, of 2 M-D Acres, Nappanee, died in the early morning of Dec. 5, 2009, in Nappanee.
He was born Dec. 13, 1948, in Earl, Ark., to Chester and Myrtle Mills Linville.
A lifetime Nappanee area resident, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with two Overseas Bars, the Combat Infantryman Badge, The Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Army Commendation Medal and the Purple Heart.
Surviving are a daughter, Tammy (and spouse Monty) Blanton, Nappanee; two grandsons; and four sisters: Cathy (and spouse James) Flickinger, Mishawaka; Pat Loomey, Cuba, Mo.; Karen (and spouse Howard) Sellers, Syracuse; and Deb (and spouse Leon) Sterling, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
