Jimmie Run Wild On Triton Trojans

ELKHART - Racking up 320 rushing yards on 39 carries, an average of 8.2 yards per carry, No. 3 (2A) Jimtown hosted and steamrolled Northern State Conference opponent Triton 63-0 in Friday's football game.

In all, the Jimmies outgained Triton in yardage 400-58. The win was the 36th consecutive in the NSC for Jimtown.

The win improves Jimtown to 9-0 overall and 7-0 in NSC play; Triton falls to 2-7 and 0-7.

Jimtown led 14-0 after the first quarter of play and blew the game open with 21-point outbursts in the second and third quarters.

Gene House led the Jimmies on the ground with 105 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. His brother, Titus, rushed the ball seven times for 57 yards and one score. Jake Burnett rushed the ball five times for the Trojans, racking up 14 yards, while teammate Dan Kuhn had 11 yards on four carries.

Triton will host River Forest Friday in the first round of the sectionals.
