SYRACUSE – Jimmie Keith Brown, 73, of Syracuse, passed away at 6:08 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1946, in Warsaw, to Paul L. and Shirley Fuson Brown. He attended grade school in Warsaw, attended Concord High School in Elkhart, and was a United States Army veteran. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County except seven years in Indianapolis and three years in Tennessee.  

He was formerly employed at Ponderosa in Goshen, Robert Grindle Trucking in Warsaw, USA Muffler in Warsaw and Auto Zone in Tennessee.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Charles) McMannus of Indianapolis; three grandchildren: Candace Dillon, Owen McMannus and Tyler Brown; two great-granddaughters; his companion, Karen “Kay” Cory of Syracuse; and two sisters.

He was preceded by his parents; sister, Patricia Blondell; and brother, Paul Brown Jr.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Military graveside services will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.
