QUARRYVILLE, Pa. – Jimmie E. Babcock, 79, formerly of Quarryville, Pa., died in Mountain Top, Pa., Sept. 2, 2016. He was born in Warsaw to Dale O. and Vera Cartwright Babcock. On Jan. 23, 1970, he was married to Georgia Vires Babcock, who died in 1997. He served his country with the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for the duration of his service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Quarryville, Pa. Private burial will be in Portage Township Cemetery, Emporium, Pa. Calling is from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
