MIDDLEBURY – Jill A. McCarty, 49, Shipshewana, and formerly of Pierceton, died unexpectedly at 6:13 p.m. May 19, 2015, at her residence. She was born Aug. 18, 1965, in South Bend, to Wayne L. and JoAnna Munger Williams. On Jan. 2, 1993, in New Carlisle, she married John H. McCarty III, who survives. She was very organized and worked as a certified medical transcriptionist out of her home. She was a devout animal lover. Also surviving are two daughters, Jenna Sam and Katie McCarty, both of Warsaw; a stepdaughter, Dawnielle Leland, Kentucky; a sister, Gayle (and spouse Wayne) Kopec, South Bend; and her beloved dogs, Cooper and Annie. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Graveside services are at 1 p.m. at Silverbrook Cemetery, 1400 E. Main St., Niles, Mich.
