He was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church, Donaldson, where he was a member of the Friendship Class and was catcher of the church's softball league. He enjoyed all sports. He was devoted first to God then his wife and daughters. He was a wonderful grandfather setting a great example at all times and gentle in spirit yet strong in integrity and honesty. He found pleasure in raising and caring for his horses and dogs. During his retirement, he enjoyed maintaining his home and farm, including his John Deere and Ford tractors. He also enjoyed two trips to Hawaii and one to Alaska with his daughter Barb as the guide. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and respected him for the genuine man he was.
