WABASH - Jerry R. Kreighbaum, 59, of 3564 S. Old Ind. 15, Wabash, died at 3:20 p.m. June 25, 2007, in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born Feb. 5, 1948, in Miami County, to William N. and Belva E. Madlem Kreighbaum. On Sept. 20, 2004, he married Vanissa Schlemmer, who survives.
He worked at Gen Corp. for 41 years. He loved and enjoyed life, his family, working in the yard, flowers and gardening. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Wabash; Eagles Lodge; and Shriner, Wabash.
Also surviving are four sons: Jerry D. Kreighbaum, Merrillville; Craig (and wife Tyna) Raikes, Laketon; and Justin (and wife Kerri) and Jared (and wife Brooke) Boggs, both of Wabash; five daughters: Mrs. John (Kellie) Engle, Akron; Mrs. Thomas (Shellie) Colvin, Fort Collins, Colo.; JoAnna R. Kreighbaum, Denver, Colo.; Debra Raikes, Indianapolis; and Jessica Boggs, Wabash; four sisters: Shirley Ann Hunter, North Manchester; Bonnie Dawn Slone and Mrs. Earl (Jackie B.) Whitaker, both of Warsaw; and Mrs. Ted (Karen Joan) Lieter, Akron; 20 grandchildren, Courtney, Jamie, Morgan, Malorie, Casie, Shelby, Talea, Dakota, Jacob, Justine, Jordan, Jenna, Autumn, Rhyan, Corey, Gavin, Declan, Jalen, Bryant and Jaylee; and a great-grandchild, Mason. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Raikes, and a brother, Billy L. Kreighbaum.
Services will be at 10 p.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
