He was born on Jan. 18, 1948, in Wabash, and raised in Manchester, Ind. Jerry was the child of Frank and Olive Leedy Bever. Jerry married Karen Thompson on May 6, 1972, in Manchester, Ind.
Jerry graduated from Manchester High School in 1966 before continuing his education at Manchester College, earning his bachelor's degree in 1970. His academic pursuits laid the foundation for a fruitful career starting as a math teacher at Manchester Junior High and eventually serving as a Senior Ink Specialist at Donnley and Sons. Colleagues and friends admired his professionalism and expertise in the field.
Faith held a central place in Jerry’s life. As a longtime member of the Jehovah’s Witness congregation in Warsaw, he exemplified the values and steadfastness of his beliefs. His faith was a guiding light, offering comfort and strength throughout his life.
Jerry was a loving husband for 54 years, sharing a deep and enduring bond with his wife, Karen Bever, of Warsaw. Their partnership was marked by mutual respect, love and unwavering support.
