SYRACUSE — Jerry J. Miller, 62, Millersburg, passed away at 4 a.m.  Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at his home.

He was born Oct. 6, 1955, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Lester Leroy and Edna Elizabeth Dyke Miller.

He graduated in 1974 from Fairfield High School, lived for 19 years in Winona Lake, and the rest of his life in the Millersburg area.

He was married on Jan. 1, 2002, in Hartford City, to Lora A. Faulkner, who preceded him on July 6, 2017.

He was employed as a welder at Syndicate Systems, Middlebury, for 10 years and Smoker Craft, New Paris, for 10 years.

He formerly attended Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, Syracuse, and formerly volunteered for Kosciusko County Emergency Radio in Warsaw.

He is survived by a daughter, Shae Miller, Millersburg; a son, Saun (Tatiana) Miller, Silver Lake; a stepson, James (Mindy) Miller, Goshen; two granddaughters, Zora and Isabella Miller; a stepgrandson; a sister, Rose (Tom Holdgraser) Miller, Bristol; two brothers, Richard (Dione) Miller, Ligonier, and John (Karen) Miller, Lafayette; and friends and caregivers Chet and Dawn Myers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife and soulmate; sister, Esther Miller; and two brothers, Matthew Michael and Logan Miller.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
