TIPTON – Jerry F. Parson, 49, of Warsaw, died April 17, 2013, in his residence. He was born May 18, 1963, in Tipton, to Robert K. and Sybil Barnes Parson. He worked as a CNC-Class A machinist at Biomet, Warsaw, making replacement hips and knees. He twice had been sent to China to teach them how to make these parts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with family and friends and especially riding his Harley. He will be missed by his dog, Keno. Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Parson, Indianapolis, who cared for him during his fight with leukemia; his mother, Sybil, Kokomo; a brother, Kenneth (and spouse Jessica) Parson, Sharpsville; two sisters, Sherry (and spouse J.D.) Melton, Caulfield, Mo,, and Sandra (and spouse Mark) Gaiser, Sharpsville; two grandchildren, Elijah Parson and Desiree Suver; his grandmother, Pauline Barnes, Tipton; and a special nephew, Kenny Parson Jr.. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, James Beard. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Pastor Bill Salsbery officiating. Burial will be in Sharpsville Cemetery. Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
