Jerry Duane Kay, 68, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Oct. 23, 2010, in Sebring.
He was born Dec. 2, 1941, in Warsaw, to Lawrence P. and Freda D. Rickel Kay. His wife of 38 years, Jo Anne Kay, survives.
He had been a resident of Sebring since 1985, coming from Warsaw. He worked in maintenance for the telephone industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Shriners; enjoyed flying model airplanes, car racing and spending time with family and friends.
Also surviving are a daughter, Heather Kay, Sebring; a brother, Ronald (and spouse Jeannette) Norman, Warsaw; two grandsons, Danny and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Jean Leever.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stephenson-Nelson Chapel, 4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring, with Pastor Mike Adams officiating. A graveside service will be at Sarasota National Cemetery.
