Jerry Dewaine IrvineJerry Dewaine Irvine, 76, Warsaw, died at 9:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at his residence from complications of cancer.

He was born April 26, 1945, in Peru, Ind., to Lucile Naomi Cowan Irvine and Harold Jasper Irvine.  He married Marilyn Jessie Lindsey in Fremont, Iowa, on July 20, 1968.  

On May 12, 1967, Jerry was inducted into the U.S. Army where he served until his honorable discharge on April 21, 1969. At the time of his discharge, he was a specialist 4th Class, having served in Germany.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Jerry’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 at Nappanee Missionary Church, and officiated by Rev. Dave Engbrecht. There will also be an hour of calling prior to the service at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw with military rites conducted by members of the Warsaw American Legion Post #49, VFW #1126 and members of the active-duty Army Honor Guard.
