INDIANAPOLIS - Warsaw native Jennifer Kintzel was honored on senior night as a member of the Butler University women's volleyball team recently.
Kintzel is a four-year starter for the Bulldogs and a three-year captain.
She is currently third in NCAA Division I volleyball in aces per game and leads the MCC. She is fourth in the MCC in assists per game and third in digs per game.
Kintzel also received first team MCC honors this past weekend and was named MCC Player Of The Year. Butler recently won the conference tourney and will make its first trip to the NCAA tournament. The first game will be Dec. 4 and the teams and sites will be announced Nov. 30.
In Kintzel's four years at Butler, she has amassed 5,342 assists, 212 service aces, 1,617 digs and 112 blocks. When it is all said and done, Kintzel will have the following ranks in the Butler history books: second, career service aces; second, season service aces; second, third and fifth, season assists; second, career digs and first in career assists.
