Jeffrey Allen Neata

MUNCIE – Jeffrey Allen Neata, 54, Fishers, passed away Oct. 25, 2015, at his residence unexpectedly. He was born June 14, 1961, in Muncie, to Larry Joe Neata and Sandra Knecht-Mers. He was a 1980 graduate of Muncie Northside High School. He was a graduate of Ball State University in 1987, and worked for many years with State Farm Insurance. He served as a claims adjuster for Oulette and Associates. He attended the Holy Spirit Church at Geist. Surviving are his father, Larry Joe Neata, and stepmother, Ellen Neata, both of Leesburg; three children: Danielle Neata, Fishers; Paige Huber (and spouse Alexander), Indianapolis; Blake Neata, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Paul (and spouse Jerilyn) Neata, Yorktown, and Greg (and spouse Joy) Bechtel, Anderson; two sisters, Terry (and spouse Butch) Powell, Muncie, and Shelly (and spouse Don) Perkins, Noblesville; two stepbrothers, Todd (and spouse Brandy) Good and Chris Good; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. A life celebration will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Muncie, with Father Kevin Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie. Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 S. Walnut St., Daleville.
