Sixth-graders at Jefferson Elementary teamed up with Element, a local microbiology lab, to hold Jefferson’s first STEM fair May 27. Prior to developing presentations, sixth-graders walked through the scientific method, beginning with asking a scientific question. The students took those questions, used research and creativity, and designed experiments to test out their hypotheses. Employees from Element served as judges. Students who participated received prizes.
