On Thursday, 16 Jefferson Spartans gave up their recess to enrich the lives of residents at Grace Village Retirement Home. Students gave the residents hand-made Valentine’s Day bookmarks and wished them a Happy Valentine’s Day. The idea came from the Jefferson Family Groups where all K-6 students learn leadership and team-building skills. The groups meet bi-monthly to work on projects that will enrich the lives of others. In February, Family Groups decided to make a craft for the residents of Grace Village and deliver them near Valentine’s Day. The reception at Grace Village was very well received and many residents said it ‘made their day.’
