ELKHART - Jeannette Joyce Packard, 79, of 20385 Ind. 120, Bristol, died of natural causes at 3:02 p.m. June 16, 2007, in her residence.
She was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Indiana, to Chester and Vera G. McVicker Ralston. On Nov. 16, 1952, in Elkhart, she married Calvin J. Packard, who died Dec. 27, 2000, in Bristol.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Millard Camping Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Vera) Irions and Jeaneen Rice, both of Elkhart; four grandsons: Eric and Aaron Irions and Justin and Christopher Rice, all of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart, with Pastor David McCracken (cousin) of Christian Church of Disciples of Christ, Indianapolis, officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
