Jeanne Elaine Silveus, 90, Warsaw, passed away at 4:30 p.m. June 3, 2015, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Mishawaka, to Clarence W. and Anna Mae Holloway Best. On July 12, 1943, she was married James C. “Mac” Silveus, who preceded her in death. She was a lifetime Warsaw resident. A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw, she was active in the Rosary Alter Society and the RCIA Team at the Church. In addition, she was a member of Lambda Chi Omega Sorority and was a longtime volunteer for Right to Life of North Central Indiana. She was formerly employed by Warsaw Community High School in the attendance office, study hall and the cafeteria. Surviving are seven children: James Christian “Chris” (and spouse Mary) Silveus, Indianapolis; Pattijean (and spouse Tom) Cullen, Atlanta, Ga.; Anthony “Tony” Silveus, Scott (and spouse Melissa) Silveus, Toby (and spouse Tony) Sumpter and Renee Tripp, all of Warsaw; and Lisa (and spouse Ahmet) Savasir, Fishers; 25 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Clemens; and two sisters, Patricia Pifer and Betty Rizer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Scared Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating.
