FORT WAYNE – Jeannette Stetzel, 97, passed away Sept. 6, 2016, at Lake City Place, Warsaw.
She was born in Huntington. She was married to Gerald Stetzel, who preceded her in death.
She graduated from Huntington High School.
She was a homemaker and also the manager at Gass's Dress Shop, Huntington, and at South Gate. She worked at General Telephone and Platt Pharmacy, Fort Wayne. She was an avid boater, reader and a darn good euchre player.
She provided many wonderful memories for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of United Faith Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Stetzel, Hiawassee, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (and spouse John) Bengs, Noblesville; two grandsons, Michael (and spouse Christina) Stetzel, and Jeffrey Stetzel, Eureka, Calif.; and six great-grandchildren, Courtney, Aurie, Christoper, Luke, Carly and Natalee. She also was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Stetzel; and her parents, Russell and Ruth Overpack.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, with Pastor Kathleen O'Connell officiating. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
