MILFORD - Jeanette C. Williams Evans, 94, Milford, died at 3:50 a.m. May 31, 2009, in her residence.
She was born Dec. 29, 1914, in Andrews, to Jacob and Emma Thompson Williams. On Aug. 25, 1935, she married Warren D. Evans, who died May 7, 2003.
She was a lifetime area resident, with a winter home in Bonita Springs, Fla., and a was a member of Milford Christian Church. She enjoyed children, crocheting and doing crafts, gardening and flowers. She loved playing practical jokes and couldn't wait for April 1 to get here each year. Jeanette loved to sing and help elderly friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving are three daughters; Joan (and spouse Lewis) Bass, Bedford Texas; Lois (and spouse Conrad) Neff, New Paris; Hilda (and spouse Robert) O'Blenis, Bonita Springs, Fla.; a son, Max (and spouse Marlene) Evans, Syracuse; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three half-sisters and a half-brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Milford Christian Church with Pastor Steven Leininger officiating. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Milford.
