MENTONE - Jean Pritchard, 79, of 102 Miller's Drive, Mentone, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, died at 6:44 p.m. Oct. 17, 2007, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, following a brief illness.

She was born July 18, 1928, in Mishawaka, to George and Freda Wagner King. On July 31, 1949, at Mentone Methodist Church, she married Jack Pritchard, who died March 24, 1998.

A lifetime Mentone resident, she currently worked at Bell Memorial Public Library, Mentone, and formerly worked at L.M. Berry. She was a member of Mentone United Methodist Church for more than 60 years and a United Methodist Women's member. She was the chairperson of the Community Prayer breakfast for many years. She was a member of Friends of the Library and American Legion Auxiliary, Mentone. She was an avid Bridge player and her family was her pride and joy.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Jacque) Bradley, Mentone, and Mrs. Scott (Jeri) Hoskins, Warsaw; two sons, Jeff (and wife Linda) Pritchard, Winona Lake, and Tom (and wife Ronnie) Rosen, Savannah, Ga.; five grandchildren, Chad (and wife Denise) Bradley, Nathan Bradley, Matt (and wife Leah) Hoskins, Sidney Pritchard and Debbie Rosen; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, Gabrielle and Isabelle Bradley and Cameron, Cole, Chloe and Callen Hoskins; two sisters, Barb Ross, Mentone, and Mrs. Bob (Janet) Brooks, Bourbon; and a brother, Richard (and wife Joan) King, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Stewart and Raymond King; and a sister, Donna Romig.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Doris Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.

Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
