Jean G. Dungan, 92, Cameron Woods Senior Living Center, Angola, Lake Tippecanoe and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Dec. 15, 2014. She was born in Centerville, Ohio, to Donald and Ethel Gravenstine. She was married to Samuel O. Dungan II, president of Polk Sanitary Milk Company of Indianapolis, who preceded her in death. She was a life member of KCH Auxiliary, PEO of Warsaw, and Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Franklin College. She brought the first Decorators Showhouse to Indianapolis Saint Margaret’s Guild. She enjoyed gardening, reading, bingo and especially playing bridge at Tippecanoe Lake County Club. Surviving are her three loving children: Nancy (and spouse Mike) Tynan, Indianapolis; Dorene (and spouse Don) Scheimann, Fremont; and Samuel O. (and spouse Laurie) Dungan III, Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii; six grandchildren: Jeff (and spouse Terri) Tynan, Scott (and spouse Lynette) Tynan, Peg (and spouse Keith) Schreiber, Becky (and spouse Kevin) Seiler, Lachlan and Aidan Dungan; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lt. Col. Donald “Joe” Gravenstine.
