Jarrod Anthony Lewis, 22, Pierceton, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 15, 2015, at his residence. He was born May 18, 1992, in Warsaw, to Jack Kenneth and Crystal Mourning Lewis Funnell. He graduated from Whitko High School with the Class of 2010. He loved football, and was the captain of the Whitko football team, a wrestler for Whitko and member of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. Survivors include his parents, Pierceton; a brother, Austin Striggle, Fort Wayne; a sister, Alexis Funnell; a nephew, Brantlee William Scott Striggle, Fort Wayne; four grandparents: Lassie Lewis and Jim and Darlene Sparks, all of Pierceton; and Chane Funnell, Warsaw; his great-grandmother, Betty Lewis, Pierceton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great young friend, Savannah Labenz. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with Pastor Mark Pratt and Bennie Allen Rose officiating.
