TERRE HAUTE - Alek Jansen, Warsaw Community High School, was the sixth-highest scoring freshman at the 44th Rose-Hulman High School Mathematics Competition.
The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Mathematics Contest takes place annually on the second Saturday in November. This year, it took place Nov. 14.
This year, there were approximately 400 students from 23 schools.
