COLUMBIA CITY - Janice Dee Vandersaul, 71, of Columbia City, died at 12:56 p.m. July 8, 2010, in the emergency room at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Switz City, to Samuel Richard "Dick" and Lois Hannum Lundy. She married Jerry S. Vandersaul, who survives.
She was a 1958 graduate of North Webster High School. For 10 years she was a bookkeeper at Dick's TV. She moved to Whitley County in 1958. She was a longtime member of Big Lake Church of God, where she served on many church committees.
Also surviving are three sons: Jeff Vandersaul, Churubusco; Jody (and spouse Jan) Vandersaul, St. Louis, Mo.; and Jamie (and spouse Tina) Vandersaul, Columbia City; two daughters, Janette (and spouse Greg) Sauers, Columbia City, and Jerilyn Simpson, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Samuel Jr. (and spouse Mary Jo) Lundy and Jan (and spouse Cindy) Lundy, both of North Webster, and Jay (and spouse Joan) Lundy, Lake Placid, Fla.; and a sister, Jenilee (and spouse Dave) Anderson, North Webster. She was preceded in death by an infant grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastors Paul Dreger and Phil Blake officiating. Burial will be in Eberhard Cemetery, Columbia City.
