SYRACUSE — Janet M. Coy, 79, Goshen, passed away at 5:02 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, at Goshen Hospital.
She was born May 20, 1939, in Syracuse, to Paul D. and Ruth A. Dehart LeCount.
She graduated from Syracuse High School in 1957 and was married on July 14, 1957, in Syracuse, to Arthur Dale Coy, who preceded her on Dec. 17, 1968.
She was a homemaker and a home care giver for many years.
She attended Harvest Community Church in Goshen and formerly attended North Webster Church of God and J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) Group.
She is survived by three sons: Michael D. (Carol) Coy, Elkhart; David L. (Lorna) Coy, Goshen; and Mark V. (Kathy) Coy, Albertville, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan (Alden) Stuckman, Syracuse; and one brother, Larry (Tina) LeCount, El Mirage, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Teresa Williamson; sister, Carole Buster; and brother, Robert LeCount.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, in the funeral home, with Mark Coy officiating. Burial will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.
