Janet Louise Dawson, 67, Warsaw, passed away at 1 p.m. April 24, 2014, in Manor Care Health Care and Rehab, Anderson. She was Nov. 30, 1946, in Warsaw to Harold S. and Mabel Pauline Luse Hite. On Dec. 28, 1964, in Silver Lake, she married James R. Dawson, who survives in Warsaw. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. She worked at Kmart as a cashier for eight years. She attended the Salvation Army as a little girl, and then for the rest of her life attended Pentecostal Lighthouse. She was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Auxiliary. Also surviving are a son, James H. Dawson, Warsaw; a daughter, Rebecca P. “Becky” Lowe, Warsaw; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley (and spouse Boyd) Poe, Akron, and Joyce Tran, Mentone; and a brother, Robert Hite, Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her father, who died Feb. 10, 2000; her mother, who died Oct. 16, 2007; and a brother, Leroy Hite. Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Glen Hughes, Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
