NORTH MANCHESTER – Janet L. Walters, 54, Sebring, Fla., formerly of North Manchester, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 3, 2015, at Good Shepherd Hospice Home, Sebring, Fla. She was born April 17, 1961, in Wabash County, to Harold Ray and Deloris Greer Walters. She graduated from Manchester High School, North Manchester, in 1979 and received an associate degree from Manchester College, North Manchester, in 1981. She moved to Sebring in May of 1981 and worked at SunTrust Bank and then at Highlands Independent Bank as a loan processor. She was very active at First Baptist Church of Avon Park and then later at Bethany Baptist Church, also of Avon Park, where she was in charge of the sound and media ministry. She was a wonderful and sweet person who touched many lives with her sweet and special spirit. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her mother, Deloris Walters, North Manchester; siblings, Joyce Walters, Jeff (and spouse Julie) Walters and Jenny (and spouse Tim) Taylor, all of North Manchester, and Jack (and spouse Tina) Walters, Goshen; half siblings, Tim Walters, Silver Lake, Jodi (and spouse Jason) Barrett, North Manchester, Kelli (and spouse Jamie) Stroud, Roann, Patty (and spouse Travis) Coburn, Sidney, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Walters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren in Liberty Mills, with Pastors Charles Pausley and Kelly Beutler officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 17 at First Baptist Church in Avon Park, Fla. Calling is one hour prior to the service Monday at Liberty Mills Church.
