BOURBON – Janet K. Thompson, 73, Bourbon, passed away peacefully in her sleep March 5, 2016, at her home. On Aug. 1, 1942, in Ironton, Ohio, she was born the daughter of Clough O. and Opal Callighan Davidson. On Dec. 24, 1958, in Cattlettsburg, Ky., she married John Thompson, who survives. She was a resident of the area since 1960. She was a homemaker and had worked at Ristance Wire Company, Argos, as well as Sprague, Nappanee. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, birds and bird feeders, but most of all she enjoyed the time with her family and grand- and great-grandchildren. She also had attended the Plymouth Baptist Church, her faith was very important to her. Her beautiful smile was a bright spot in everyone’s day. Also surviving are three children: Debra (and spouse Tom) Green, Plymouth; Dane “Tony” (and Tracey) Thompson and Dawn Thompson, all of Warsaw. She was further blessed with nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her sister, Karen (and spouse John) Schroeder, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Russell Thompson; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Michael and Rick Davidson.
