Janet E. Kester, 67, of Warsaw, died at 10:25 a.m. June 12, 2012, in her residence.
She was born May 23, 1944, in Warsaw, to Fred and Mary Jane Thomas Schaetzle. On March 7, 1965, in Bourbon, she married Thurl Kester, who survives.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was office manager for their business, Kester Electric. She was a 1963 graduate of Bourbon High School and was a former Gold Wings member.
Also surviving are two sons, Steven Thurl (and spouse Christine) Kester, Warsaw, and Wm. Clyde Kester, Lakeville; a daughter, Laura (and spouse George) Stidams, Warsaw; a stepson, Steven Michael (and spouse Sherri) Lee, Columbia City; 10 grandchildren: Stephanie, Krista, Steve Jr., Clyde and Darian Kester; Joshua and Luke Kats; and Timothy, Cody and Jennifer Lee; four great-grandchildren: Hunter, Payton, Airrona and Logan; a brother, Herb Schaetzle, Bourbon; and two sisters, Carolyn Hanley and Shirley (and spouse Ron) Beatty, all of Bourbon. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jack Schaetzle, and a infant sisters, Gwendalyn Schaetzle.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by the Rev. Mark Cottrill of United Pentecostal Church, Bourbon. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
