FORT WAYNE – Janet E. Kessler, 67, passed away March 10, 2014 in Fort Wayne.
She was born in Muncie to Delmer and Miriam Bunnell. She was married to Lamoine Grow, who preceded her in death, then to Stanley Kessler, who also preceded her in death.
She worked as a school bus aid for special needs children for Fort Wayne Community Schools for 13 years. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. One of her biggest loves was being a grandmother. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and loved animals. She was very talented and accomplished in quilting, sewing, stained glass and cross stitch. She was also very passionate about the special needs kids she helped on the bus and her euchre club.
Surviving are two daughters, Amy (and spouse Matt) Lutz, Westfield, and Emily (and spouse Michael) Diettrich, Monclova, Ohio; a son, Matthew (and spouse Sheila) Kessler, Eugene, Ore.; eight grandchildren: Cate and Colby Lutz, Maddie and Finn Kessler and Mallory, Drew, Owen and Henry Diettrich; her stepmother, Waunita Bunnell; and a brother, Charles (and spouse Barbara) Bunnell, Springhill, Tenn. She was also preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Grethel Mumau.

Services for both Janet and her late husband, Stanley, are at 10 a.m. Friday at Covenant United Methodist Church, 10001 Coldwater Road, Fort Wayne, with the Rev. Jan Funk officiating.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, and for one hour prior to services.
