SYRACUSE – Jane Leining Love, 91, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of Syracuse, passed away Feb. 19, 2013, at Coventry Meadows Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Providence, R.I., to the Rev. Frederick C. and Harriet Barrows Leining. On June 24, 1944, she married Dr. V. Logan, who died in 1996. In 1943, she graduated from St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., receiving a bachelor’s degree with no honors. She resided in Marion from 1951-68, and Syracuse from 1968-2008, when she moved to Fort Wayne. She was a trained Viking, but could not find gainful employment. She had the heart of a teenager. Surviving are three children: Nancy Love, Fort Wayne; Gordon (and spouse Alice) Love, Tampa, Fla.; and Gretchen (and spouse Jeff) Hughes, Huntington; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a sister. A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, with the Rev. Gary Lewis officiating.
