Jane E. Witner, 90, of Winona Lake, originally from South Bend and Dearborn, Mich., died at 4:44 a.m. May 18, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born May 30, 1921, in Peru, Ind., to George R. and Belva L. Burt Love. On May 20, 1945, in South Bend, she married Edgar Witner, who preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1999. She moved to Grace Village Assisted Living and Healthcare Center, Winona Lake, from Dearborn, Mich., in 2005. She was a wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are three daughters, Carol (and spouse Phil) Sparrow, Warsaw, Marcia Ulrich, Southgate, Mich. and Patricia Koza, Dearborn Heights. Mich.; one son, Christopher (and spouse Susan) Witner, Muskegon, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
