Wayne and Joanna Jana, Rochester, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Leigh Jana, Rochester, to Joseph Lee Murphy, Akron. He is the son of Jeff and Tami Murphy, Akron. The bride-to-be is a first- grade teacher at North Miami Elementary. She graduated from Rochester High School in 2007 and earned a bachelor’s degree in teaching from Ball State University, Muncie, in 2011. The groom-elect is a marketing director for Hope Hospice, Rochester. He graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, in 2006 and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Ball State University, Muncie. The couple plan a June 22, 2013, wedding.
